Right now approximately two-thirds of oil in Canadian oil sands is unrecoverable – it’s too deep to dig and too shallow for steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD). That means literally billions of barrels of oil are left in the oilsands, untouched, unrecoverable and unusable. Ground Effects Energy’s DXR System can extract and refine the oil from this two-third’s zone on site. In addition, DXR has a remarkably small environmental footprint. The technology does all the work, instead of needing extensive onsite infrastructure.
